Is that someday really here? I cannot believe that I am at this point, gazing up in awe from the foot of the temple, just days away from partaking of the beauty and wonder of the Lord's holy house. And how wonderful that I will be accompanied by family! This is the epitome of heaven on earth. All of these years of preparing, and it is finally my next step to be taken on the stairway to heaven. Although it is all still a mystery, although I do not know what will take place, what promises that will be made, what ordinances will be performed, I do know enough. God loves his children. The comforter will be there, confirming God's love for His children, for me, a daughter of God. Even though I don't think I'll ever feel totally worthy of the blessings of the temple, I know that God wants to teach me, to lead me to him.
I'm grateful for the wonderful family home evening that we were able to have to talk about the temple. Thank you all for your feelings shared. I really do look up to all of you so much. Kim, you too. I know you haven't been but I'm grateful for your willingness to participate. I love you! We really have had some bonding time, (like our whole lives!) and you will always be one of my very best friends.
Monday night there were other special feelings shared. Dave's side of the family, the Petersons, Evans, and some ward friends, threw me a shower! It was so wonderful. Thanks to all of my sisters who came with me, and to Tia Patricia and Tia Lark who did the planning and arranging of it all. It was beautiful. I will treasure the spices and gifts given and the beautiful words expressed. I really do love you Petersons and Evans! I am convinced I am the luckiest girl in the world. I love the idea of being in your lives forever!
Dave the Brave:
a quick update...

Our dear Davey has been the best sport during all of this. I chose to post this picture to just show how brave he is. LONG days studying his little brains out. Somehow, Dave is balancing school, wedding planning, showers, Men's Chorus, MTC, and a little bit of social time with his friends. How in the world does he do it? I don't know. But he is, and he is excelling. Every trip to the testing center results in a score in the high 90's, and he has been the best support to me in the showers, planning, and just all around crazy, emotional times. I sure am grateful for him! You can get through this Dave! Go Davey, go Go GO!!! Thanks Dave for sharing the fun things you are learning and for working so hard. If you want to learn something cool about anything science, you know who to ask. Oh, and ask him about superconductors, he'd love to tell you all about them! :) (They really are pretty sweet!)
Basically a lot is going on, and this post is becoming a novel! Dave and I just want you all to know how grateful and humbled we are from the generosity in time and gifts you all have shared. You are guys are the greatest!
