This is a portrait that I did recently of my darling niece Abby. She has been visiting from Portland, OR. She is just a wonderful little girl. Oh, and I don't know if you saw my "Funny Unrequited Love Stories" post, but she is totally in love with Dave. It is the funniest, most adorable thing. Aparently she pretends to be "Anna." I think it is so she can be the one married to him!! Don't blame you Abby! I love him too!
I got to play with watercolors with her, and two other nieces and nephews. It is so fun being an aunt! We got out big pieces of paper and just had fun with all the different colors. Abby painted a black brick house and Ella painted a pretty daisy. Preston ended up with a tie dye house. So much fun.
I just wanted to share this pic because I think she is sooo cute, and because this portrait just happened to work out really nicely compared to some projects I've been working on lately. I did have some trouble getting the eyes spaced right, but everything eventually fell into place. Lindsay, (this girl's mother, my sister...) thanks for letting me do this! I really did love painting your darling girl!
