We woke up at 5:30 in the morning to get to Draper on time and to get Dave signed in. It was still really dark outside. That is usually a sign that you aren't supposed to be awake. Why do people do crazy things like wake up way to early in the morning to run, swim, and bike your guts out anyway?! I don't know. :) Just kidding! It looked like everyone there was having a wonderful time, and Nancy (Dave's mom) kept saying how much she wanted to be in there with all the action! I'm sure you would have done so good Nancy. I guess there's always next year. Dave and Nancy want me to join them next time. We'll see how that works out... maybe I'll be hard core enough...maybe...
It was pretty cold that morning. Rain was sprinkling and the wind was blowing. A thunderstorm seemed to be on the way, making us all nervous! But it stayed nice enough and didn't end up raining hard at all. But as you can see, Dave and Jacob (Dave's brother) didn't seem terrribly warm...I guess that just comes with being hardcore, being outside in the rain with just shorts and a swim cap! Crazy boys.
I decided to bug Dave a little bit during transition time.
All in all, we all had a great time, and Nancy and I had a blast cheering them on. Here are a few more pics:
Way to go, Matt wishes he were there to join you! Love
