I have been so excited to do this piece that I had to share this post from
my art blog here.

I have been wanting to do a portrait of this wonderful woman for a LONG time. I've been trying to learn more about my ancestors, and I found a biography of Lucille's life, and it has just inspired me in so many ways. It is amazing to read about how people before us have dealt with the challenges that we still face today. Lucille's determination to provide for and nurture her family have left a legacy I want to continue. I wanted to express her beauty and the light that she shed on so many others around her.
That's great anna! I was just thinking yesterday how grateful I am for people like you that are so good at what you do and that you share it with the rest of us. Keep up the great work. Love you guys
ReplyDeleteI love it. I can feel the energy from her. If only you know how great she was for giving me endless cheetos and hot dogs when I swam at her house! And the cowboy dress ups! But anyway, I love the pic.
ReplyDeleteThis picture made me feel happy inside. I miss her and you brought her back so well. Amazing Anna! Really it is a wonderful portrait. Keep it up!
