images from a walk
Lake Ontario: there was this random ship...I think it was used for filming movies. (Ben and Celeste, you might have to correct me on some of these captions...)
Mailboxes in the medical school
University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry
Crazy tree on our way to the medical school
19th Century greenhouse. The next few pictures will be from the extensive grounds of a mansion build during the 1800's. The mansion is now owned and maintained by the state. It was so gorgeous there!
Roman Bath
Fountain (Grecian?)
We wanted to become part of the artistry of the fountain...
The mansion is under heavy construction, but is still very cool nonetheless.
Our walking tour guide.
Umm... yeah.
She described this part as the "rock garden," I think.
The happy tourists :)
The grand owner of the original mansion. Funny story about this painting... the owner commissioned the painting, but then she hated it because she looked like the queen (and this was a bad thing I guess?) so she refused to pay for it. It somehow ended up back in the mansion though! I wonder how she feels about that...
The end of photo journal number one of our trip.
You'll be sad to know that the tree in Genesee Valley Park fell down last week in a storm. You could have been the last to have your picture with it... Ay me.
